Life is

what we

make it.

A Little About Me

The first thing I’m going to tell you might be the last thing you expected.
I’m not selling anything or seeking new clients. No selling of services, books,
special offers or bigger than-life promises.  Just a little about me to
give you a sense of how I think and the values that guide and define me.

I’m a first-generation born and raised Californian, my parents
are from Portugal. This gives me a personal perspective about
the opportunities and the challenges of living the American Dream today.
Life itself is an educational experience and my lifelong passion
for learning includes study at UCSB and UCLA.

I’ve always had a kinship with entrepreneurs, helping develop
and expand a small independent restaurant during college.
In the years since, devoting my time and energies to emerging and
developing businesses
and non-profits. I’ve been fortunate to learn a lot
and enjoy nice success as I did. The most recent project I am excited to
work on is developing a new convenience store concept called,
Fresh Fill, “a fresh take on convenience.”

For all of that, nothing in my life has felt as good or been as
rewarding as giving back. I volunteer – proudly – for
Rotary International and am the current president-elect of our chapter
in Goleta, California. I also serve for 1Life Fully Lived,
a truly terrific non-profit organization.

  I’m guided by what I believe are universal truths;
honest values
 that inspire me every day:

Live a life that puts Family First

Admire and Inspire others

Think, Save and Invest

Find a Healthy Balance

Execute with Vision and Compassion

Respect, Trust and Communicate

Loving What I Do is a Gift

Loving What I Do is a Gift

After helping develop a fresh, fast-casual restaurant concept in college, my early career
years focused on marketing and branding, organizational consulting, general
business development and real estate investment and development.

Hard work was rewarded by success and invaluable experience
But true professional and personal satisfaction came later, from giving back.

Today I focus on three areas; each is important and together give me balance.

  • Business Development
          Fresh Fill Convenience Stores

As operating partner and business development strategist, we’re taking an innovative approach to put the fresh into convenience, with the anticipated
opening of the first location in 2017.

  • Executive Advisory
          1Life Fully Lived

1Life Fully Lived is an extraordinary non-profit organization dedicated to helping others dream, plan and live their best lives. The opportunity for me to provide strategic guidance to its founder is a both a pleasure and a privilege.

  • Philanthropy
          Rotary Club of Goleta

Rotary International is truly a unique organization with 1.2 million members worldwide. With the stated goals to Educate, Impact and Inspire, doing what I love while living the motto of Service Above Self, is truly a gift.
